County Durham Game and Country Fair

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not pay a visit to the ‘County Durham-Game and Country Fair’ at Raby Castle - Staindrop, Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th July. It promises to be a great day out for the whole family with three action packed entertainment arenas displaying falconry, gundogs, scurry racing, stunt teams and even racing Llamas!

There will also be live demonstrations from the ‘Golden Retriever Club of Northumberland’, along with lurcher and terrier shows. Plus, live cookery demonstrations from local chefs with the ‘Love Food-Roadshow’.

If you fancy trying your hand to a spot of fishing, angling tuition will be taking place on the lake. For those with a little more energy you can join in the fun with paintball, archery and clay pigeon shooting. There’s also lots to keep the children entertained with special attractions over the weekend. Jed Thirkell will be at the show representing Derek Slack Motors at the Isuzu stand. Pop over and say hello. The show starts 10.00am until 6.00pm.
