Electric Car Benefits

Electric Car Grant now available

The UK Government has announced a new Electric Grant Scheme offering funding for UK buyers of certain battery electric vehicles which meet criteria relating to pricing and environmental impact (among others). This is part of the Government’s Clean Energy Mission to increase take-up of EVs.

The following Škoda vehicles meet the Electric Grant Scheme's criteria:

  • Elroq; SE, SE L, Edition & SportLine (includes all 50, 60 & 85 batteries)
  • Enyaq; SE L (60 & 85), Edition (60 only)

The £1,500 discount will be automatically applied by the Škoda retailer at point of order. So you don’t need to do anything: except jumping into electric at an even more attractive price.

Enyaq Wins Running Costs Award

The Škoda Enyaq has added to its remarkable tally of industry accolades by taking the Best Car for Running Costs award at the annual Auto Trader Drivers’ Choice Awards. The award, which was voted for by owners, highlights the Enyaq’s exceptional efficiency, long driving range and value for money – qualities that Škoda buyers have come to expect. Unlike other industry awards where a panel of industry experts and road testers choose the winners, the Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards are decided by car owners. For the 2026 awards, more than 160,000 UK car owners completed an online survey sharing exactly what they think of their car, with their thoughts and opinions (obtained from real-world experience) determining the winners of 20 award categories. Owners who have bought, driven and lived with their cars were asked to rate them according to a range of lifestyle factors. As part of the survey, owners were invited to rate their cars across 16 different criteria, from reliability and performance to appearance and running costs. They were also asked about their overall satisfaction with their car and how likely they would be to recommend it to others. Commenting on the Enyaq’s win, Rory Reid, Autotrader’s YouTube Director, said: “The Škoda Enyaq stands out because it delivers exactly what many drivers are looking for right now: a practical, affordable electric car that’s easy to live with day-to-day. Owners consistently praise its low running costs, especially when charging at home, alongside its strong range and overall quality. It’s a great example of how EVs can offer genuine value without compromise.” Key to the Enyaq’s appeal was its efficiency and long range - allowing drivers to travel further without having to recharge. Available with the 60, 85, 85x and vRS batteries, the Enyaq has a WLTP combined driving range of up to 373 miles on a full charge. To help drive down costs for buyers, selected models in the Enyaq range qualify for the Government’s Electric Car Grant. Customers choosing to finance their purchase through a Solutions PCP can take advantage of a 0% APR finance offer, a £1,000 deposit* contribution and a value-packed Essentials Service Plan from £249**.
