Parts team gets direction
Stage one of dealership expansion plans will soon see the opening of a new, state-of-the-art parts department. Still expect to be greeted by familiar faces including Steve Parkin. Steve has been with Derek Slack Motors for 19 years offering a wealth of experience and expertise. Steve said, “We supply genuine parts for both SKODA and ISUZU vehicles and fitted by factory trained technicians. We also supply parts for many other popular makes and models, so it’s always worth giving us call. You can also purchase online through our Ebay store.”
Another familiar face is newly appointed Parts Manager, Chris Harrison. Chris was recognised by Subaru as one of the world’s top 12 Subaru technicians including the top Subaru technician in the UK. This is Chris’ first management role, which based on his previous performance we’re confidant he will excel. He brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm.
Chris heads a team of dedicated professionals including Mark Calvert- Aftersales Support who spent many years as Service Manager with Harrisons of Whitby before joining the Derek Slack Motors team. One new face you might not recognise is new trainee parts advisor Phil Barwick. Phil’s role in supporting the team includes, ordering, , inventory management and customer parts advise. Although new to the parts department, Phil is already proving an essential member supporting the team.
