Record numbers visit Stokesley Show

Stokesley Show, one of the region’s largest agricultural shows recently took place attracting record number of visitors. Once again, Derek Slack Motors were delighted to attend as the region’s main dealer for SKODA and ISUZU.

With an estimated 25,000 visitors, every available parking space was taken. Show secretary, Janette Hugill, said, “ We don’t know officially until we have done the gate figures, but we think it’s the best it’s ever been.”

The Indian summer delivered wonderful weather as visitors enjoyed a wide range of events and activities from: clay shooting and photography classes, alongside jams, wines, chutneys, cakes and crafts.

Other attractions on the day included show-jumping, chainsaw sculptures, motorcycle stunts from Jason Smyth Adrenalin Tour Show and the Preston Gavioli Steam Driven Organ, which provided accompaniment for a group of can-can dancers.

Derek Slack Motors’, Managing Director -Tony Slack, described the event as one of the highlights of the summer calendar. “We attend the show each year displaying new models from the SKODA and ISUZU range which always attracts a great deal of interest. This year in particular proved to be one of our busiest days ever. We made lots of new friends and met up with some old ones too. As a family run dealership, we fully support this family event.”
