At ŠKODA, we are driven by something different. We believe everybody deserves an equal opportunity and celebrate those who are brave enough to challenge the norm and go their own way. That’s why we’ve made an affinity with Donnons Des Elles au Vélo J-1 female cycling team.
The Tour de France is the oldest and considered to be the most prestigious professional cycling race of the year however, there is no place for women. This year and for the fourth time 13 female amateur cyclists rode the entire Tour de France route one day ahead of the professional men. Meet Donnons Des Elles au Vélo J-1. Their aim was to give female cyclists a presence, break the stereotypes and encourage gender equality in sport.
Huge congratulations to the incredible @desELLESauVELO on their completion of the Tour de France on Saturday 28th July. The 2018 female cycling team completed all 21 stages of the 2018 Tour de France covering a total distance of 3,351 kilometres.
We hope their achievement inspires more women to cycle.
