Wear it Pink Day, Friday 21 October 2016

Friday 21 October, Derek Slack Motors joined the hundreds of thousands of people taking part in ‘wear it pink day’ raising money for breast cancer research. Service advisor Emma Stinchcombe, once again ran proceedings organising various competitions, prizes, pink cupcakes, hats, bowties and a sweepstake. Most popular being the: ‘guess how many sweets in the pink bra’, the winner Sales Executive-Chris Johnson, (see picture), while Accountant-Andrew Bennett won a bottle of pink Champagne. Emma said, ‘Everyone had fun and it was a really nice way to raise money and have a bit of a fun Friday. We managed to raise £161.33, joining a collective force of scientists, supporters and people affected by breast cancer. Together, by funding cutting-edge research, the aim is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050.’
